38th UN Water Meeting

The open session of the 38^th UN-Water Meeting took place at the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Headquarters in Paris, France, on 5-6 December 2022. The Meeting brought together representatives from UN-Water Members and Partners to advance progress on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all by 2030.  

During the open session of the meeting, UN-Water Members, Partners with special status, Partners, and Observers discussed and coordinated opportunities for their respective organizations. Agenda items included:

• SDG 6 Capacity Development Initiative;
• SDG 6 Global Acceleration Framework;
• Integrated Monitoring Initiative for SDG 6;
• Roadmap on human rights to water and sanitation;
• Brainstorming on the Innovation Accelerator;
• Follow-up to the UN 2023 Water Conference in the 2030 Agenda
