IHE Delft 6th Capacity Development Symposium

IHE Delft is organizing the symposium 'From Capacity Development to Implementation Science' on May 26-29, 2020. This is the 6th edition of its international symposium on knowledge and capacity development for the water sector. Join the conversation using the #CapDevSymp hashtag.
Following our decision, in these unprecedented times, to move our Capacity Development Symposium online, weโre delighted to announce that we have now also taken the decision to waive the formal registration fee for the event. Our goal at this time is to provide a dedicated space where the water capacity implementation community can formally and informally meet, exchange ideas and discuss the issues that weโre facing today.
Expert network and live event
Weโre inviting up to 500 conference participants to meet online to discuss issues such as the bridges and barriers to water capacity, the challenges of managing institutional change, managing conflict, using โbig dataโ and options for water financing.ย While weโve scaled down the โliveโ content, our Symposium platform will allow allย contributors and participants to provide, view and comment on posters, abstracts, presentations and videosย before, during and after the event.ย ย
During the event itself ourย keynote speakersย will be delivering inspiring insights and available for live and offline Q&A, and our Track leads will host a mix of live and offline discussion around ourย eight key themes. We are also rescheduling to cater for different time zones. You can see the draft programmeย hereย - to be confirmed.
Something you want to discuss?
All participants will have an opportunity to contribute to the process of providing recommendations on the future agenda for water capacity implementation. We also understand that our own agendas are changing day to day. To help here, the platform will help you to organise and promote dedicated discussions of your own. For example, you can:
- Schedule presentations to solicit feedback (by chat or small discussion groups) from an expert audience
- Use the symposium social media (#CapDevSymp) to promote your event to other participants
- Explore the user figures for any sessions or content you host
ย
Want to join us?
If you are already contributing to the conference you can access our new contributor guidelinesย here. And of course you can follow us through IHE Delftโs social media, as well as at #CapDevSymp.
Participation will be restricted to the first 500 to register for the conference, so youโll need to move fast.ย You can register for free - or register and make a contributionย here.
