We are now in Summer and the time for WCCE's General Assembly comes nearer. This time WCCE is travelling to Africa as WCCE's 18th General Assembly will be hosted by Institution of Engineers Kenya jointly with the celebration of IEK's 30th Convention. The activities regarding 18th WCCE General Assembly will be held from 14th to 17th November 2023 in Mombasa, Kenya.

Summer is coming and the time for WCCE's General Assembly comes nearer. This time WCCE is travelling to Europe as WCCE's 14th General Assembly will be hosted by Portuguese ORDEM DOS ENGENHEIROS. The activities regarding 14th WCCE General Assembly will be held from 23rd to 26th September 2019 in Lisbon, Portugal.
Eng. Carlos Mineiro Aires has been appointed President on September 21st, 2018. He took over the presidency of the World Council of Civil Engineers (WCCE) during its 13th General Assembly to be held in 2018. Mr. Mineiro, a worldwide recognized engineering professional from Portugal will serve a three year term for the period 2019-2021. Carlos Mineiro suceeds Alfonso Gonzalez, Mexican Engineer.
He is current President of the Portuguese Ordem dos Engenheiros, the Portuguese engineering chamber. His areas of expertise are water resource management and international ccoperation issues. Civil Engineer (1985). Born in Lisbon (Portugal), age 53 years, holds a brilliant academic record, culminating in his MSc Civil Engineering, in Instituto Superior Técnico de Lisboa.

This time WCCE is travelling to America as 13th WCCE's General Assembly will be hosted by the SOCIEDAD DE INGENIEROS DE BOLIVIA, member of the organization. The activities regarding 13th WCCE General Assembly will be held from 19th to 22nd September 2018 in Sucre.
This meeting will be an opportunity to review WCCE's contributions to UNESCO'S II Engineering Report as well as our several partnerships with UN agencies such as UN-Water, UNESCO, UNDSR, etc. Such WCCE contributions will require dissemination and contributions by our member organizations in order to replicate succesfull schemes in the commitment of our profession as a whole on the accomplishment of UN's 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

WCCE’s 12th General Assembly of the World Council of Civil Engineers was held in Antalya, Turkey from 18 to 20 October 2017, organized by the Turkish Chamber of Civil Engineers - TCCE . The Assembly was welcome by TCCE's President Cemal Gökçe. Attendance at WCCE activities by WCCE delegates was enriched by the attendance of FAEO's Past President Mustapha Shehu as well as delegations of three new countries: China, Georgia and Montenegro..
